University Christian Ministries

UCM is an on-campus Christian community where UBCO students can encounter Jesus right where they are! We value whole-life worship, students leading students, and hospitable community.

UCM THURSDAY NIGHTS
7:00 P.M. WEEKLY @ ASC 130

Thursday Nights are our weekly worship gatherings where we engage teachings from the bible around relevant topics for university students. It's a place where everyone is welcome, seeking to know Jesus is prioritized, and authentic relationships are valued.

CORE GROUPS:
A place to belong and become more like Jesus.

A Core Group is a group of 6-12 students who meet weekly to share lives, learn from the bible, pray for each other, and serve our campus.

PRAYER MEETING:

Join us for prayer in UNC316 (Multi-faith Space).
It’s 30 minutes. Start to finish. Guaranteed.

Prayer Meetings will return soon this semester! Stay tuned for announcements on its return.

WHAT IS RED FROGS?

Red Frogs Support Network is a program that was started out of a church in Australia almost 30 years ago when the founder, Andy Gourley, realized the need for a designated sober person at the massive drinking parties for graduating high school students. Since then, the program has been adopted by a number of campus ministry groups at Universities across Canada, including us, the UCM club at UBCO.

OUR MISSION

Our desire is to be a positive peer presence on campus by providing our harm-reduction program (hydration stations) at parties and events where students are vulnerable to drug and alcohol culture. We also promote alternative events and being involved in a faith-based community on campus in order to engage students in healthy and holistic living.
